THE TUESDAY MORNING WORKING PARTY

Help Us Keep Our Club in Top Shape - We Need You!

Our clubhouse and surrounding facilities are lovingly maintained by a dedicated group of members who meet on Tuesday mornings during the off-season.  Together, they tackle essential maintenance tasks and improvements to uphold the high standards expected at a club of this calibre.

However, in recent years, the number of volunteers has dwindled, leaving fewer hands to manage an increasing workload.  Without more support, the club may have no choice but to hire external contractors, which would strain our finances and potentially lead to higher membership fees.

We’re calling on all members to step forward and lend a hand.   The work isn’t difficult, and we’re usually done by lunchtime. It’s a wonderful opportunity to bond with fellow members in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.  You’re free to take on tasks you feel comfortable with, and even if all you can offer is a cup of tea or coffee, your contribution would be warmly welcomed.

Join us and make a difference – your help keeps our club thriving!

So, if if want to give it a go and join our merry band, have a look below and see what you could be letting yourself in for....

THE TORQUAY WINTER TOUR

After many years of organising and running this tour Tim Hughes has decided to stand down.  The club thanks Tim for all his efforts in making this a memorable and successful event.

Club chairman Ali Binnie has organised the tour for 2025.

The most popular date chosen by members for this year is the weekend of 28th November, with accommodation at The Carlton Hotel.  The tour will also include the hotel’s Turkey and Tinsel theme, adding a festive touch to the weekend.

INDOORS AT CHIPPENHAM

The club has organised three friendly games at North Wilts Indoor Bowls Club, Chippenham.  The first was held in December which was great fun both on and off the rink - the result left a lot to be desired though!!

The second, on Saturday 4th January, was also a good day out for the club, but despite showing improvement we still came second.  The third and final game is on Sunday 9th March, again at 2.00pm and also followed by a meal.  Going all out for a win this time!!  Come on you Bees.

A big thanks to Bob Ferris for organising these games.
